The Fort Worth Geological Society is pleased to announce that our 2026 Spring Ice Breaker has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 13th from 5:30-7:30pm on the patio of the Downtown Ft. Worth Flying Saucer Draught Emporium.
Enjoyed the yard games last fall? Get ready for some more fun this spring! Sponsors will sign up for a particular yard game to run and members will be given a passport that will need to be signed/stamped for playing a game with a vendor (or finding them in the crowd) and this will allow them an extra raffle ticket for each vendor they say hello to. This event raises money for our scholarship fund and allows vendors to get direct engagement with potential customers. We also have our usual sponsorship tiers available to those who wish to attend or sponsor the mixer, but do not want to run a yard game. Yard games…

Putting Green Battle: $800
So what is putting green battle? AKA Putterball, it's where you have two people stand opposite the putting green and try and sink shots in either direction. Whoever sinks five putts in each cup wins! Sure to be a hit with the golfing hungry crowd within the FWGS.
